Day 25: My plan was to do a double this morning and then head out to enjoy St. Pat’s in our fair city. At the last minute, I re-thought my plan and decided to do just one class today and a double tomorrow. I’m not sure yet if this will prove to be one of my dumber decisions (I have an entire BOOK of these entries include: renting a kayak without knowing how to use it; hiking up Mt. Fuji at night without a flashlight; doing a half-Ironman with a broken hand; this list goes on and on and on). So class this morning was good and fairly uneventful (although I’m sad to say I couldn’t fully get into hands-to-feet pose. Maybe tomorrow?). No a-ha moments. No near-disasters. No distractions. I was surprised that I was not sorer given my doubles yesterday, but that bodes well for me considering I have two doubles to go in order to finish my 30th class on the 30th day.
Today I learned about the upcoming March Madness special at the studio and I’m so excited to recruit some newbies to the studio. In case you haven’t heard, from March 18th through April 14th, current students are invited and encouraged to bring new people to the students to the studio for ANY single class FOR FREE (not just the Sunday 630pm free community class). If your recruit enjoys the class, he or she is welcome and encouraged to purchase the introductory unlimited month for only $29 (down from $39) (or any other regularly priced packages). New students who purchase a package will automatically be entered into raffle to win an iPad mini at the end of the special on April 14th. If this wasn’t good enough, there is also a contest to see which current student brings in the most new students. The person who brings in the most new students will ALSO win an iPad mini!! The second place recruiter will win an iPod shuffle and the third place recruiter will win a free month of yoga! So start thinking now of who you can bring to class with you!! It is true that EVERYONE can benefit from Bikram. I love looking around the studio during class to see who is sharing the space and their energy with me. It is such an interesting and dynamic cross-section of people all gathering together to spend 90 minutes working in unison.
I’m feeling really energized with the finish line so close. Hope you are too!
