Bikram Yoga River North’s Bikram Yoga classes are open to all experience levels, abilities, body types and ages (over the age of 18). All of our Chicago Bikram classes are considered to be beginner classes. What this means is that anyone interested in Bikram Yoga, from first-timers to experienced yoga students, can attend the same class. No experience is necessary to be a part of a Bikram Yoga class. Beginners may find the class challenging at first, but will be able to perform the sequence of Bikram postures at their own level. Every person in a Bikram Yoga class will have a unique experience, dependent on a variety of factors.
Our downtown Chicago Bikram Yoga classes are each 90 minutes in length. During the 90 minute class, all 26 yoga postures will be performed in sequence within a room heated to 105 o – 110 oF. The heated environment encourages flexibility, promotes detoxification and helps prevent injury.
All Bikram Yoga classes offered at Bikram Yoga River North are taught by trained Bikram instructors. Our instructors undergo the most rigorous yoga training available, taught by the Yogi Master Bikram Choudhury himself. Only instructors trained directly by Bikram Choudhury can call themselves Bikram yoga instructors.
